The New Wine Discipleship Year in Tunbridge Wells will be based at Christ Church, a vibrant town-centre church which is part of the New Wine network. Our vision is to play our part in the spiritual and social transformation of Tunbridge Wells and beyond. We work in partnership with other New Wine churches in the town and local area. This is a lovely place to live and work with easy access to London, a lively town centre and beautiful countryside.
Teaching (8hrs/wk)
Our theological teaching will be delivered on a Wednesday at Christ Church, and we will provide mentors for every DY student at their placement church.
Ministry Opportunities
Christ Church together with other local churches across Tunbridge Wells offers ministry experience in a variety of areas of church ministry which include: youth work, kids work, community outreach, social action, worship, and media. Cost
£1000 course fees, payable at the beginning of the course.
Accommodation
Discipleship Year students are expected to find their own accommodation local to their placement church. Where possible DY students are encouraged to fund their accommodation through part-time work.
