The purpose of this role is to continue to grow a thriving and dynamic children & families ministry at St John’s and to see this ministry make a valuable impact on the Christian lives of our church households and our local community as we reach out in mission. We recognise the importance of work with children for the health of families and the growth of the church and so this role requires Christian maturity, is a leadership role and is of key strategic importance.

We're a 'Resource Church'
A 'Resource Church' is a church, normally in an urban centre, that is specially tasked to grow and plant more churches in an attempt to renew and further expand the Christian presence and witness in a whole area. We've already planted one new church since we began 3.5 years ago and we're making plans for more.
We're part of a local Network
St John's partners with St Michael's Westcliff and Christ Church Southend to form a local network. Together we can organise and gather hundreds of Christians for festivals, discipleship and mission and outreach to our city.
