We are looking for an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our staff and that of a local charity as Mental Health Parish Nurse.
You’ll have the exciting opportunity to set up and lead The Belfrey’s new Parish Nursing service in partnership withParish Nursing Ministries UK. This will support people with mental health needs within our church congregations or those who are accessing our other social transformation ministries such as a CAP Debt Centre, a Foodbank and Counselling. After attending the PNMUK Preparation for Practice Programme, you’ll be offering targeted interventions, activities, support and education to help people improve and maintain their mental health, with an intentional focus on spiritual care from a Christian perspective.
One day per week will be dedicated to working with residents ofRestore York, a Christian housing charity providing accommodation and support for those who would otherwise be homeless.
The right candidate will be passionate about mental wellbeing and about being able to considerately and appropriately bring their Christian faith into nursing, in a church context.
