St. Peter’s is a Charismatic Evangelical Anglican Church in the heart of West Harrow and we long to impact our community with the love and hope of Jesus Christ. We are a multicultural, multigenerational church family blessed with amazing people and supported by a great staff team. We are part of OneChurch Harrow which is formed of local churches working together and has been designated as a London Diocese Resource Church.
Our vision is to play our part in seeing 10% of Harrow following Jesus and we are seeing encouraging growth, particularly amongst young people. We believe that church is a place for everyone and our deepest desire is that everybody feels part of the family here - known, valued and connected. We’re looking for someone to join our team to help make this happen!
The church has a strong history of youth discipleship, outreach and schools work. This role would continue to develop youth ministry across OneChurch Harrow and play a lead role within the Deanery and the Willesden Area of the Diocese of London. We have a full youth programme run by dedicated and experienced volunteers and host a weekly Sunday evening service aimed particularly at young people across the area, started in 2018 as part of our commissioning as a Youth Minister.
In our youth ministry we regularly see up to 50 young people each week, including up to 25 teenagers who attend and serve on team at our weekly Sunday evening service. We have seen young people growing in confidence to invite their friends and anticipate a season of growth ahead!
We need an experienced and dedicated youth lead who will embrace the vision of the church. They will be a disciple maker, with a heart for evangelism and outreach, a strong team leader, highly organised, a strategic thinker and team player. They will be a motivated self-starter, someone with excellent people skills who is able to engage and communicate effectively with young people and their parents, who enjoys working both as part of the church’s leadership team and with church leaders across the deanery.
