The Event Delivery Lead collaborates closely with the Head of Events to ensure seamless and impactful event planning and execution. This role is pivotal in managing all technical, operational, and safety aspects to guarantee successful event delivery.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of New Wine Events.
- Lead the Production Team through the planning and delivery of major events.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop effective project plans, including:
- Senior Leadership Team
- Events Team
- Venue Leaders
- Key Technical Production Partners
- Manage tender processes for suppliers and contractors, including:
- Obtaining quotes
- Creating Purchase Orders
- Managing invoices for rented equipment
- Oversee the production budget for all events, working with the Finance Team to design, monitor, and report of budget control throughout the planning and evaluation processes.
- Preparing for, attending and following up on SAG meetings.
- Ensure all necessary licenses and event plans are in place, including:
- Obtaining Event Licenses where applicable
- Ensuring other licenses, such as PRS, are secured
- Creating Event Health & Safety Documentation, including:
- Event Management Plan
- Event Emergency Plan
- Event Fire Risk Strategy Plan
- Event Risk Assessment
- Coordinate with venues and local authorities to ensure compliance with event guidelines on noise levels, traffic, and other regulations.
- Gather and review contractors’ safety policies, risk assessments, and insurance certificates.
- Ensure Risk Assessments are conducted and adhered to at all New Wine events.
- Plan, build, and design schedules to ensure timely event setup.
- Manage venue relations and bookings, ensuring compliance with venue terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with production companies to ensure all New Wine requirements are communicated and met effectively.

Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Project Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant professional certifications in event management or production (desirable).
- Health & Safety qualification (desirable)
Experience:
- Proven experience in event production and management, preferably in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale events from planning to execution.
- Experience in budget management and financial reporting.
- Experience working with various stakeholders, including senior leadership, technical teams, and external partners.
- Experience and understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
Skills and Abilities:

Role Particulars:
Working Pattern: This is a full-time position, requiring one day per week in London, typically on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Due to the nature of this role, some travel and periods of working away from home will be necessary, as agreed in advance. The Event Delivery Lead must be available for the annual leadership conference and the New Wine Festival, including the setup and teardown of these events.
Supervision: The post holder will receive regular supervision from their line manager to ensure ongoing support and development.
Role review: There is a three-month probationary period for this role. Following this, the post holder will undergo a quarterly rolling review of performance, the role, job description, terms, and package.
