We are currently seeking a Youth Worker to work alongside the current youth and Sunday School teams, to lead the youth group, to actively participate in the Sunday youth work, and to encourage and inspire other members of the team. Our vision is young people on fire for God, moving in the power of the Spirit.
· Leading the youth group, actively participating in the Sunday school rota, encouraging and inspiring other members of the youth and Sunday school teams.
· Teaching the youth group (predominately teenagers) as required, and Sunday school (10-18) every other week, helping young people to grow in faith, and become disciples for Jesus so they reach out to their peers and share the ‘good news’ in their community.
· Sharing our vision for young people, and together with the church, facilitating this through bible-centred teaching, inspiring and empowering young people.
· Identifying and developing the gifts and talents of the young people within the Sunday school and youth group, encouraging Sunday school attendees to actively participate in church life.
· Providing pastoral support to young people, mentoring young people and communicating with their families where necessary.
· Playing an active role in outreach in the local area, including community events.
· Creating and overseeing rotas for Sunday School and permission forms for children and youth.
All Saints is a family friendly Anglican church based on Chevallier Street Ipswich. We currently have a membership of around 50 people and a weekly attendance of around 50-60 over two services, of whom 30-40% at the second service are under 18. Our mission: To honour and serve God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) with all our hearts,with all our souls and with all our minds. To be part of God's mission of extending the Kingdom of Heaven with the Good News of Jesus, salvation to all mankind. Our desire is for God's worship to be 24/7, our way of life.
